Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Gemini AI sebagai Media Pembelajaran IPA Inovatif bagi Guru MGMP IPA Kabupaten Takalar

The development of artificial intelligence requires teachers not only to use technology but also to understand its pedagogical potential and risks in learning. This community service activity aimed to provide practical experience for science teachers in the Takalar Regency Science Teachers' Association in using Gemini AI as an innovative learning medium. The activity employed a participatory approach through needs identification, planning, training implementation, and evaluation and reflection. The training covered Gemini AI literacy, feature exploration, prompt construction, learning scenario design, and the development of AI-assisted science worksheets. Descriptive findings showed participants' engagement in developing prompts, learning scenarios, and worksheets adapted to science learning needs. The activity also emphasized information verification, prevention of cognitive dependence, and the critical and responsible use of AI. The training illustrates that a practice-based approach can be used to introduce the integration of Gemini AI into the planning, implementation, assessment, and reflection stages of science learning.
