Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Guideline for Authors (English)

Article should be written in A4, 4-3-3-4 margin, Time New Roman 12 font size, 1,5 spaced, and a 15 to 25 page long.

Article should follow the following rules:

TITLE

  • Should be clear and informative;
  • Should be capitalized and boldfaced;

NAME of AUTHOR, INSTITUTION, and EMAIL ADDRESS

Should be written below the title;

  • Should use full name without title;
  • Should use AND if the article is written by co-authors
  • Should include institution and email addresses.

ABSTRACT

  • Should be in English if the article is in Indonesian Language and vice versa.
  • Should be within 150 - 250 words;
  • Should include three to five key words.

INTRODUCTION

Should include background and problem of research as well as objectives.

DISCUSSION

Should be organized in sub-sections discussing on the research findings as well as the analysis.

CONCLUSION

Should summarize the main research findings

  • May include recommendation if possible.  

BIBLIOGRAPHY

  • Article should include references using footnotes with the following guideline:
  1. Footnotes are written without ibid., op. cit., and loc. it
  2. When cited for the for first time, the reference is written fully including name of the author, title of the book, (City of Publisher: Name of Publisher, Year of Publication), pages
  3. The next reference of the same source is written by including only the last name of the author, two or three words of the title, and page.

  • Bibliography is written in the same way as the footnote by removing page and bracket in the publication information. Bibliography is written in an alphabetical order with the last name in the first. (NOTE:  “al” in an Arabic name is considered non-existent.

  • Arabic terms should be written using the Litbang of Conggres (LC) model of transliteration.

Example:

1Muṣthafā al-Sibā’ī, al-Istishrāq wa al-Mustashriqūn; Ma Lahum wa Mā ‘alayhim, Cet I, (Riyadh: Dār Al-Warrāq, 1999), p. 18.

  • Author will receive three copies of the printed journal. 
 
 

PANDUAN PENULISAN JURNAL JoIEM

  • Naskah ditulis dengan menggunakan ukuran kertas A4, margin  4-3-3-4, Time New Roman (12 font size), Spasi 1,5, dan panjang naskah antara 15-25 hlm.
  • Naskah ditulis dengan mengikuti sistematika berikut:

JUDUL

    • Lugas dan informatif;
    • Kapital tebal (capital, bold)

NAMA PENULIS, INSTITUSI, dan ALAMAT EMAIL

Ditulis di bawah judul

  • Nama lengkap tanpa gelar
  • Menggunakan tanda koma (,) jika penulis lebih dari satu;
  • Institusi penulis
  • Alamat email yang masih aktif

ABSTRAK

    • Ditulis dalam Bahasa Inggris bila naskah dalam bahasa Indonesia; ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia bila naskah dalam bahasa asing.
    • Panjang abstrak 150 - 250 kata;
    • Mencantumkan sedikitnya 3 sd. 5 kata kunci

PENDAHULUAN

  • Berisi latar belakang masalah, rumusan masalah, tujuan dan manfaat penelitian

PEMBAHASAN

  • Berisi sub-bab yang membahas temuan dan analisis hasil penelitian

KESIMPULAN

  • Berisi kesimpulan

DAFTAR PUSTAKA

    • Naskah mencantumkan rujukan dengan menggunakan sistem catatan kaki (footnote) dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut:
    1. Rujukan ditulis lengkap tanpa  menggunakan ibid., op.cit., dan loc. it;
    2. Sumber yang dirujuk pertama kali ditulis secara lengkap dengan mencantumkan: Nama Penulis, Judul Buku, (Kota Penerbit: Nama Penerbit, Tahun  Terbit), halaman (hlm.)
    3. Rujukan selanjutnya untuk sumber yang sama ditulis dengan mencantumkan nama terakhir penulis, dua atau tiga kata dari judul buku, dan halaman.

  • Naskah mencantumkan daftar pustaka dengan pola penulisan sama seperti catatan kaki dengan menghilangkan keterangan halaman dan tanda kurung pada data publikasi. Daftar pustaka disusun menurut abjad dan mendahulukan nama belakang pengarang (“al” pada nama pengarang Arab dianggap tidak ada).

  • Istilah bahasa Arab harus ditulis dengan menggunakan gaya transliterasi Litbang of Conggres (LC).
