This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, editorial board members, reviewers, and the publisher (Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Guru, UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri). These guidelines align with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical Standards for Publication
The publication of scholarly work in Allimna contributes significantly to the advancement of knowledge in the field of teacher professionalism and Islamic education. Peer-reviewed articles not only reflect the author’s scholarly integrity but also the standards of the supporting institution. Therefore, adherence to ethical behavior is expected from all contributors in the publication process, including fairness, transparency, and academic honesty.
As the publisher, Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Guru, UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri, is fully committed to upholding high ethical standards and ensuring that commercial interests do not influence editorial decisions.
Research Misconduct Policy
Research misconduct includes but is not limited to: fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, and plagiarism. If credible evidence of misconduct is found, the editorial board is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the academic record.
In such cases, the editor will initiate an investigation following COPE guidelines. Manuscripts proven to contain ethical violations will be rejected, and published articles found to be fraudulent may be retracted, with a formal retraction note linked to the original article.
Initial steps include validating the allegation and assessing potential conflicts of interest of the complainant. The corresponding author will be contacted for a detailed response, which may lead to further expert review. If allegations are unfounded, clarifications or corrections may suffice. Institutions are also expected to conduct thorough internal investigations when necessary.
Editorial Decision-Making
The editor of Allimna is solely responsible for deciding which articles are eligible for publication based on their scholarly merit and alignment with the journal’s scope. This decision is guided by the editorial policies and legal considerations concerning libel, copyright, and plagiarism.
Complaints and Appeals
Allimna provides a structured process to address complaints regarding the editorial process, reviewer conduct, or other ethical concerns. Complaints will be resolved in accordance with COPE’s recommended procedures.
Fair Evaluation
Manuscripts are assessed solely on their academic content, without discrimination based on the author’s race, gender, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political ideology.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must treat all submitted manuscripts with strict confidentiality, sharing information only with those directly involved in the publication process.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials in their own research without explicit written consent from the author.
Responsibilities of Reviewers

- Promptness: Reviewers who are unable to review a manuscript promptly should inform the editor and withdraw from the review process.
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential and not disclosed to unauthorized individuals.

- Originality and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original. Any use of others’ work must be properly cited.
- Multiple Publications: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors must appropriately cite influential works that informed their research.
- Authorship and Contribution: Authorship should be limited to those who made substantial contributions. The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors approve the final version.
- Conflicts of Interest: All potential conflicts, financial or otherwise, must be disclosed in the manuscript.
- Corrections and Retractions: If significant errors are discovered, authors must notify the journal to issue corrections or retractions.
