Publishing System

The Islamic Journal of Integrated Science Education (IJISE) implements a fully online, open-access publication system to ensure efficiency, transparency, and academic integrity throughout the publication process.

1. Submission System

All manuscripts are submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to register and follow the journal’s author guidelines and manuscript template. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals.

2. Initial Screening

Each submission undergoes an initial editorial screening to evaluate its relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with formatting requirements, and adherence to ethical standards, including plagiarism policies. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors or rejected without peer review.

3. Peer Review Process

IJISE applies a double-blind peer-review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance, and contribution to science education research.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial board will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accepted

  • Accepted with minor revisions

  • Revised and resubmitted

  • Rejected

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe.

5. Copyediting and Layout

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting to improve clarity, consistency, and academic writing quality. The final version is then formatted according to the journal’s layout and publication standards.

6. Publication and Access

IJISE publishes articles regularly in electronic format. All published articles are open access, allowing readers to read, download, and distribute the content freely with proper citation, in accordance with the journal’s licensing policy.

7. Ethics and Transparency

IJISE adheres to international publication ethics and best practices. The journal is committed to maintaining transparency, preventing publication misconduct, and ensuring a fair and rigorous editorial and review process.
