Screening for Plagiarism

The Islamic Journal of Integrated Science Education (IJISE) is committed to upholding academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. The journal will immediately reject any paper that indicates plagiarism or self‑plagiarism with a similarity index exceeding 20%. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism to ensure originality and to prevent academic misconduct.

1. Plagiarism Detection Tool
   IJISE uses plagiarism detection software to examine all submitted manuscripts for similarity against published literature, online sources, and academic databases.

2. Similarity Threshold
   Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the journal’s acceptable threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the severity and nature of the overlap.

3. Editorial Evaluation
   Similarity reports are carefully reviewed by the editorial team to distinguish between acceptable similarities (such as references, methodological descriptions, and commonly used terms) and potential plagiarism.

4. Author Responsibility
   Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and properly cite all sources. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or improper citation, is considered unethical and unacceptable.

5. Consequences of Plagiarism
   If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, IJISE reserves the right to reject the manuscript, request revisions, or retract published articles in accordance with ethical guidelines.
