Withdrawal of Manuscript

The Islamic Journal of Integrated Science Education (IJISE) recognizes that, in exceptional circumstances, authors may request the withdrawal of a manuscript after submission. Manuscript withdrawal is permitted under the following guidelines to ensure transparency and fairness in the editorial process:

  1. Submission Stage
Authors may withdraw a manuscript anytime before peer review has begun by submitting a formal request to the editorial office. A clear reason for the withdrawal should be provided.

  2. Under Review Stage
Manuscripts that are already under peer review require a formal written request explaining the reasons for withdrawal. Withdrawal at this stage may delay future submissions by the same authors if not justified.

  3. After Acceptance
Withdrawal of manuscripts after acceptance is strongly discouraged. Authors must provide a valid and compelling reason. Any withdrawal at this stage may require communication to indexing services or publishers if the article has already been scheduled for publication.

  4. Consequences
Unjustified or repeated withdrawal requests may affect the author’s eligibility for future submissions. The editorial board reserves the right to deny withdrawal requests that do not comply with ethical standards or publishing policies.

  5. Communication
All withdrawal requests must be submitted via email to the editorial office, including the manuscript title, authors’ names, submission ID, and reason for withdrawal. The editorial office will confirm receipt and process the request according to journal policy.

By adhering to these guidelines, IJISE ensures a transparent, ethical, and fair process for manuscript withdrawal, protecting the interests of authors, reviewers, and the integrity of the journal.
